Application Support Specialist

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily interaction with users to assist with questions and corrections needed within the system
  • Daily interaction as needed with Accounting team to ensure accurate corrections are made
  • Daily interaction with IT/IS team to ensure system performance
  • Assist with instruction on proper processes and procedures within the system
  • Recommendations to Management when additional training is needed with individuals
  • Assist users as needed for reporting and accounting questions within the system
  • Assist with system errors and data anomalies as needed on daily basis to ensure accurate reporting at all levels
  • Assist with set up of users and permissions within the system
  • May learn or assist with the creation of ad-hoc scripts and reports to resolve system issues
  • This position will work closely with the IS Application Administrator to resolve system issues
  • User and vendor setups within the Yardi system
  • Additional assignments and projects as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required:

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or information systems strongly recommended
  • 1 to 2 years of General Ledger accounting experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Yardi Voyager, Yardi Rent Caf , Yardi CRM
  • 1 to 2 years of IT help desk experience a plus
  • Experience with TeamViewer
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Strong skill in teaching others processes and procedures
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail & initiative
  • Knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server Stack (DB, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and security architecture is a plus
  • Ability to adapt and understand priorities
  • Self-starter and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to organize & prioritize assistance to others
  • Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with all levels within a company
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
