Brief over view of the position:

The Application Administrator role provides the following functions as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for the accounting and operations system (Yardi). The role as IS Application Administrator is to manage the system performance and enhancement requests and work closely with the third-party account team assigned to the Monarch account. Work daily with operations and this account team to ensure smooth ongoing performance and functionality within the application. Coordinate project implementation of new functionality, and third-party integrations. Manage users and permission access within the system to ensure all levels of operations and accounting have appropriate functionality within the system. This is a business-critical application that requires urgent response during any outage event.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily interaction with all users to ensure system functionality
  • Daily interaction as needed with Account team to ensure system functionality
  • Design and implement accounting and operational processes to capitalize efficiencies and improve time management
  • Design and implement ad-hoc custom reports as needed to improve accounting and/or operations processes
  • Design, test, implement Yardi Modules, products, and system updates
  • Interface Yardi with outside vendors
  • Will need to be available to manage any mission critical system on an expedited basis
  • Assist all levels of organization as needed for reporting questions within system
  • Implement new features as available and as requested by operations to ensure desired work processes
  • Manage system errors and data anomalies as needed on daily basis to ensure accurate reporting at all levels
  • Manage users and permissions within the system
  • Create ad-hoc scripts to resolve data anomalies and other reporting errors
  • Successful close of the accounting month on last day of the month
  • Additional assignments and projects as needed
  • Monitor Help Desk queue and respond to client requests for support in a timely manner
  • Focus on advanced requests and incidents requiring a deeper level of knowledge
  • Work with vendors and external resources to ensure a timely resolution
  • Any other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position can supervise up to one person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or information systems
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Yardi or other multifamily software required
  • 3 to 5 years of Administrative experience in information systems
  • Accounting experience a Plus
  • Thorough understanding of ERP systems, SQL Databases and

Scripting Language Writing Skills are required to successfully complete the

necessary job functions

  • Microsoft SQL experience is a plus
  • Suite is integral to successfully complete the necessary job functions
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail & initiative
  • Ability to organize & prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with all levels of personnel, including outside vendors
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
