Corporate Services Analyst Utility Billing

The Corporate Service Analyst will complete various projects related to utilities, national vendors, and quarterly reporting to investors. Ultimately the employee will improve NOI across the portfolio.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to many functions across multiple departments in a multifamily real estate owner and management company. Working directly with the Database and Corporate Services teams, they will also need to work closely with accounting, operations, and asset management in order to provide support and analyses to improve efficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Corporate Services - Utility Billing

  • Oversee the review of property pre-bills
  • Review and research variances in utilities
  • Oversee and suggest fee implementations and common area deduction (CAD) decreases
  • Work with internal Accounts Payable to understand utility bills
  • Evaluate energy procurement options for regions, portfolios, and new acquisitions
  • Determine and manage green energy projects and initiatives
  • Handle internal utility billing for select properties
  • Support Asset Management, Accounting, and Finance with all things utility related
  • Complete ENERGY STAR Green Reporting requirements
  • Suggest and pursue companywide projects that you believe will be beneficial

  • Maintain national vendor relationships
  • Monitor national vendor performance
  • Improve standardization across the portfolio
  • Provide swift support to employees and vendors
  • Suggest and pursue companywide projects that you believe will be beneficial

Requirements / Desired Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, real estate or related field
  • Strong communication and organization skills are required to be successful in the position
  • The desire to work in an entrepreneurial culture
  • 1-2 years of job or internship experience in account management, finance, multifamily, real estate, accounting or other analytical or support positions
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Limited travel possible

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
